In the Catholic Church the Mass is the center of the prayer life of the faith community through which the blessings and benefits of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross continue to flow for God’s people. It is a commendable thing to call on God’s beneficence for the expiation of sins through His gift of mercy and the healing effects of His grace for loved ones living and deceased and for special intentions we may have.

Folk Group

The folk group incorporates the talent of parishioners of all ages and musical abilities in a contemporary, yet spiritual setting. The group is open to all. Rehearsals are Thursdays at 5:30 p.m.

The Folk Group moved from the 9:30 a.m. Sunday Mass to the first 5:00 p.m. Saturday night Mass of the month. We have singers and at various times, the piano, guitar, flutes, viola, violin, harp and hammer dulcimer which lead the congregation in song.

For more joyous occasions we may incorporate the trumpets, clarinets, trombone and tuba. We range in age from middle school through senior citizen. We have various levels of talent but one goal: To give back to God the talent He has given to us. We are always looking for new talent. We practice Thursdays from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at the church. Please join us.
